"unhappy patient"

About: Fitzalan Medical Group

I was called by the surgery on Tuesday and invited to have my COVID vaccination which was arranged for yesterday at 12.30. I have very bad knees so need to be accompanied by my husband as I cannot go out alone. We do not drive so had to go by taxi ( 23.00) -when we arrived it we had to wait in the pouring rain as there is no shelter for people who do not have transport and the staff were at lunch ( All at once surely this should be staggered) When I eventually got in I had to answer a number of questions which apparently should have been asked when the appointment was made and when I said I had an epipen years ago I was told I could not have my vaccination. This was prescribed about 12 yrs ago after 3 odd allergic reactions for which no cause could be found. I have never had this again and have NEVER used the pen . So this was was a waste of both mine and the clinic's time not mention the taxi fare. Can I have this removed from my records so that I can go for my vaccination.I do have an outstanding prescription for 2 pens

which can be cancelled. I did speak to the office manager yesterday and she did not seem very interested she just kept saying 'well, we're all learning as we go along' !! I appreciate this is all new but surely reasons for not being accepted should be flagged up in the first instance when they can be addressed.
