About: The Sandhurst Group Practice

I have had a serious problem with a prescription that has taken over a week to be fulfilled. The practice has replied to my previous post as if they do not know who I am . I have contacted them 3 times by email and telephone to tell them who I am and only got the problem resolved when i threatened to make an official complaint. I was promised the prescription was urgently being done yesterday and it wasn't. I asked the practice manager to call me today and she or he hasn't but had the time to reply to my last post as if they had no idea who I was. Very unprofessional.

We are very sorry but we do not know who you are these comments are for general comments about the surgery not personal ones and do not give patient details. No name is attached to this post on the NHS website. We do have nearly 20,000 patients over 2 sites. We are sorry you have had difficulties. Prescriptions can be held up for a lot of reasons ie; Med review needed, ordered too early, tests required to name a few. All prescriptions take 2 working days if straight forward but may take slightly longer if there is a problem. Urgent requests can be made in exceptional circumstances but it will be up to the GP if they consider the script to be Urgent. We have prescription clerks to answer questions. If you place your question through the e-consult service this will be forwarded to our Prescription clerks or Clinical pharmacist for action as suitable. We strongly advise you to sign up for our Patient access service through our website or the NHS app on your mobile phone. This way you can order any medication online, see if there is a problem or ordered too early , track the progress and see when it has been sent for the chemist to dispense.
