"Orthopaedic Telephone Consultation"

About: Ayrshire Central Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as a service user),

I waited eight months for my consultation and was very disappointed! The consultant was very impatient on the telephone, and didn't want to hear how the condition had progressed since the initial call to the GP. They didn't even answer my question regarding a support for my knee, didn't give me any information whether my condition could or would improve. I basically got the impression that this person wasn't interested. Playing sport is extremely important to me as I live alone and have few friends, it really helps my mental health. Overall a very unsatisfactory experience.
