About: Crisis Mental Health / Single point of access team (SPA) & Emotional Wellbeing Service (EWS)

(as the patient),

Just after Christmas, deep depression and anxiety came visiting me. The pitch black cloud swamped me. Couldnt sleep or eat, the anxiety of the phone ringing, would have my heart pounding, the dread, especailly early mornings when I'd think how iam going to get up, let alone face another day. (6 months prior to this I made a suicide attempt. ). A lady I had been speaking to at the Single Point of Access at Netherthorpe in Sheffield, saved my life, because if I hadn't got her to speak to, the outcome could have been much different. She rang me sometimes twice a day, and helped and supported me. She rang my Dr and helped with medication. Thankyou seems a very small inadequate word when you want it to mean much more. So I cant thank her enough for her kindness, compassion, professionalism, truelly outstanding.
