"My Experience Following A Fall"

About: Nightingale Wards / Nightingale 2 Northern Ireland Ambulance Service / Emergency ambulance response Whiteabbey Hospital / Rehabilitation Wards

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I was feeding the hens.  One of them flew into my face and knocked me over.  I broke my hip. The ambulance came to get me.  The staff were very reassuring and gave me pain killers.

I was taken to the Royal.  After my surgery, i was moved to an isolation room on the fracture ward.  There was no television.  The staff were quite good however they were quite slow at answering the call bell.  The food was okay. My pain was well managed.  The ward was clean.  The wee woman never stopped cleaning.

I was then taken to the Whiteabbey Nightingale for my physio.  You couldn't ask for any better.  The ward is so clean, food is good and the staff have been so good.  I haven't got anything bad to say.
