I registered with The Practice @188 when I moved to Golders Green in June 2020. I’m not one to need a doctors appointment often and it’s a good job! My first appointment last June was for a repeat prescription, the doctor was meant to call at 12.30 and didn’t do so until gone 5pm and left a voicemail with no apology! Seems minor but when you have a busy work schedule yourself and move meetings to fit the appointment in it’s highly inconvenient not to mention inconsiderate.

Reception simply told me I just had to wait and the doctor would call when they could. Really helpful and resulted in a missed appointment and unable to speak to the doctor.

Second issue was in Dec 2020 when I required doctors advise on something I was concerned about. I submitted a request to speak with a doctor on the Friday which advised I would receive a call on the Monday by 6.30pm. It took 2 weeks almost to call me and leave a useless voicemail!

Third issue and the tip of the iceberg was in regards to an appointment I made for Thursday 7th Jan at 2.15pm. No call or voicemail received and I am writing this review on Saturday 9th Jan. What if I was an elderly person, really scared and concerned about my medical issue!?! It’s appalling! I appreciate the NHS are really working hard and under pressure at the moment but people depend on this service for general day to day medical issues and repeat prescriptions that require a doctors appointment to receive.

Luckily for me I have private healthcare through my employer and have access to Doctor Care Anywhere. I would rather have built a record with my actual doctors surgery but seeing as they are so unreliable I’ve given up even chasing when they don’t call as scheduled. I do however require someone from this surgery to contact me so I can receive a prescription for antibiotics prescribed to me by the Doctor Care Anywhere app as they can only grant 3 prescriptions before I have to actually see my own doctor. I really hope someone from this surgery sees this review and has the courtesy to make contact with me.
