"My daughter being turned away after a possible TIA"

About: Northampton General Hospital (Acute) / Accident and emergency

(as a parent/guardian),

Due to COVID restrictions after calling 111 and being told to wait for  call from out of hours.  She suffered further episodes and her housemate took her to A & E Northampton General Hospital. Her housemate dropped her off at the entrance and went onto park her car.  My daughter was ask why she was there and what were her symptoms. She was told that she was talking clearly now and to go home and wait for the call from out of hours doctor.  She went home and the out of hours doctor called and listened  to her symptoms.  He told her to go straight to A &E. She went back to A & E and they let her in. The nurse who had told her to go away made further comments and what she was doing back in A & E.

She has been referred to the TIA Clinic.  She is a physiotherapist and was well aware of what was possible happening to her.
