"Terrible Practice "

About: Shadwell Medical Centre

Administration staff are rude and have reduced me to tears twice through being obstructive

Made an appointment to speak to a doctor - could give me a day - but no idea on time , apparently sometimes they ring fast but can call at anytime

I am a foundation doctor working in a GP practice during the pandemic too and explained that it was difficult to schedule my appointments around with no idea of time- the doctors at this pracitce are all working from home due to the pandemic (im working in practice so i am fully aware other GP practices are having face to face appintments) Waited all day , doctor never rang me. Was told i would have to ring back at 8 am to book an appointment or book one week later.

Tried to reschedule appointment , requested that given the pandemic i didnt want to waste time and that all i was asking for was a private referal please coould they send a task requesting a private referal- one administator said she would , rang the next day she hadnt, next day administrator said she would ask- apparently doctor refused ? intermittent tachycardia with normal bloods and sinus arrhythmia on ECG - ? 24 hour tape required ? Privately insured ?

( The nurse had said to get bloods and an ECG speak to a doctor and they would refer me to cardiology for a 24 hour tape - she was very helpful and generally fantastic - she is an assett to the practice )

This practice is unable to take blood test any day except Tuesdays (ridculous) and also refuse to take ECGs at the moment so i had to go to hospital to get one ( Other GPs all around the country are still doing ECG's just like the GP practice i work in)

I am sorry for the way you have been made to feel, due to staff capacity we are unable to do ECGs at the practice at present. The Drs have instructed the reception not to give a time, the calls vary in lengths of consultations and some turn into video consultations. If you would like to contact the practice and speak with the practice manager to see if we can resolve your concerns
