"Respect and difficult times "

About: Conquest Hospital

I unfortunately had to call for an ambulance and from the moment the technicians arrived they were very understanding and put me at ease, I was taken to my local hospital and to see it the in the current situation is an eye opener to say the least yet I was still put at ease hand over was very quick, the staff were great although working very hard I couldn’t imagine how the COVID part of the hospital was ,after spending time being assessed i was moved to AAU until my release to home. From the moment I entered the hospital ( conquest) l was treated with respect and dignity by all the staff, and they all deserve to be given the Covid jab first, thanks to every body no matter what job they do.

Dear Alan,

Thank you so much for your generous and uplifting words in relation to your recent attendance to Conquest Hospital; we are touched by your kindness, and very grateful to you for taking the time to leave us this feedback.

First and foremost we very much hope that you have overcome the symptoms that resulted in you being transferred to hospital, are in good or improved health, and comfortable and settled backed at home. It must have been a very worrying time for you and your loved ones when you had need to call for an ambulance, and so we are delighted to read that you felt well cared for and treated with dignity by all staff you came into contact with.

In spite of the COVID-19 pandemic and the devastating effects it has, and continues to take, on each of us and the health service infrastructure, the Trust remains committed to providing patients with high standards of care such as those your experienced.

We will ensure your feedback is shared with our staff in the Emergency Department and the Acute Assessment Unit (AAU) at Conquest Hospital as it shines a beacon of gratitude and hope at what has, and remains to be, a very difficult time. We wish you good health for the future Alan, and the same for your loved ones. Please take good care, and keep safe.
