"Mental health care"

About: Borders Community Services / Borders Crisis Team Borders General Hospital / Accident & Emergency Borders General Practices

(as a service user),

I have been seeing my GP for the past 8 weeks as my mood has been increasingly low with suicidal thoughts and anxiety, I have ended up in A& E twice due to intentional overdoses seen crisis team the first time but refused the second as they didn’t support me in any way. My GP called them to get them to get in touch in order to support me through the new year period but they refused to provide any support not even a welfare call so I’m left on a waiting list to see the CMHT. So person centred honestly just feel like a number

Thank you cafekk55 for taking the time to give feedback on your recent experience of NHS Borders Mental Health services, in particular crisis services.

I'm sorry your experience has not been positive and contact with the service has been distressing for you.

I would be more than happy to talk to you on the phone and discuss how we could have improved your journey and better supported you.

If you would like to contact me on 01896 827270 I can return your call if I am not available.

Once again thank you for your feedback at a difficult time and hope to speak to you soon.
