"A cataract removed from the right eye."

About: Royal Derby Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

Appointments were made for consultation with Dr Puri at Ilkeston Hospital Derbyshire  Who was very reassuring. The appointment for the procedure was then made. I was a little apprehensive  about the procedure. The nurses were efficient and told me what they were doing at all times which was putting eyedrops before the procedure Dr Puri then came and told me it it would only take about 20mins to do the  procedure. I was taken to theatre  were more eyedrops and the anaethsetic  were instilled. The nurse and Doctor were very  reassuring . After the procedure the nurse took me to the office and explained how to use my eye drops during the after care.

I felt a little shaky But the nurse escorted me down the corridor where my wife was waiting. It is five days since my cataract was removed and at present I am pleased with the result.
