"A recent care experience with overnight stay at Queen Margaret Hospital in Dunfermline, Fife"

I was admitted for planned surgery.

I was impressed with the care from the staff and consultants from initial clinic appointment, many investigatory appointments through to my stay for surgery.

On the day of surgery, the pre-op care was brilliant from being first welcomed by the charge nurse,  admitted by the staff, visited by the consultant, anaesthetist and physiotherapist. 

In the anaesthetic room, I was calm and reassured by the staff.

After my operation, I was cared for so well. I did miss out on my family visiting but understandable with covid restrictions. The nurses made up for this. I stayed overnight which was a positive experience with attentive staff.

Before discharge in the morning, I was well informed for going home.

A very positive experience during a worrying time. Staff were very informative, approachable, caring and supportive throughout.
