"Kindness and compassion"

About: Worthing Hospital

On 30/11/20 my dad and mum were both admitted in the night, my dad short of breath my mum as a social case, she has dementia and he was her main Carer. They both tested positive for COVID the next day and despite the doctors and nurses best efforts my dad passed away on the 2/12/20. There are no words to say how grateful we are to all the staff involved in their care from the ambulance crew, a&e, the emergency floor (zone d) and finally Beacon ward. The communication with the family was excellent, we were involved and supported all the way through. This has really knocked our family but has been made so much easier by such brilliant teams who are working under additional extremes. Thank you Worthing Hospital, you should be proud - stay safe
