About: The Corner Surgery

I visited the surgery with pain at the back of my waist. Then it occurred to me that I have never had a check on my prostrate so the doctor quickly gave me an examination. He thought I needed specialised examination so he asked me to go for blood test (PSA). He said he would refer me to the hospital. In less than a week I had an appointment to the hospital. I had incessant calls from the surgery that I should not miss the hospital appointment and I should make sure I have had the blood test. After a series of examination at Kings College Hospital I was sent to Guy’s for surgery which has saved my life.

Just last Monday (21/12/20) I was at the practice to self-check my blood pressure. I gave the reading to the receptionist. In the afternoon I got a text message to book for blood pressure test which I did immediately. I went for the test the next day and my blood pressure had shot up. The Health Care Assistant wasn’t happy just as I wasn’t so she said she would let the doctor know. In the evening of the same day the doctor called me to discuss with me and advised what I should do in the next couple of days and come back to see them.

All the staff at this practice are very caring - doctors, practice nurse, HCA and receptionists. They are hardworking.
