"Nerve conduction studies - Neurophysiology"

About: Northampton General Hospital (Acute) / Neurology

(as a service user),

I was greeted by Julie in the waiting room. She was very friendly and professional and after antibacterial wiping my seat due to COVID led me to the treatment room. Julie then very accurately explained what would happen during my nerve conduction study and how it may feel during the test. The doctor performing the test was also very friendly and they made a great team with a good rapport.

Unfortunately as the test ended I fainted and then remained “collapsed” and unwell for another 4 or so hours! Julie stayed with me despite her shift finishing and went above and beyond. Both myself and my family really appreciate it as she made a horrible situation much less distressing. Thank you so much Julie

Good morning Shell78,

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave a review on your experience. Your input is most valued to us.

We are so pleased that you had a positive experience in the Neurology Department and that you were pleased with your care and that everything was explained to you about what to expect during your test.

Your positive comments will be passed on to all the staff (and Julie) who were involved in your treatment and care.

Best wishes

From all of Team NGH.
