My son who is Down's syndrome has a blood test booked on the 16th Dec at 11.35am .He suffers from folliculitis and has a large inflamed abscess on his leg. I rang the surgery this afternoon to see if someone could examine his leg around the time of his appointment. I was told no! The receptionist said all that could be done was for me to ring the next day when I might receive a triage call. After the call it would still be unable to attend for an examination by anyone and I would have to send a photo. She was most unhelpful and when I said that if things deteriorated I would possibly visit Accident the Emergency she replied "Yes do that" SHAMEFUL.
