"Cancer patient can’t get through on phone to…"

About: Princess Royal University Hospital / Urology

This is the second day of trying to get to talk to anyone ? At beckenham beacon hospital. The line just cuts off . Have tried three numbers .

My husband has prostrate cancer and is supposed to see the consultant every four months. He has had two phone call appointments in a year and was told he would get to see the consultant this time ? He has had his PSA blood test but no appointment as yet and I can’t get through to talk to anyone. I no we are in a pandemic . But the adverts on media say any lumps ect seek advise as it could be cancer. But they don’t say but if you are diagnosed you won’t get to see or talk to anyone . And also we are told the pandemic is causing a lot of mental health problems. I think sitting at home with cancer and not being able to contact anyone is also a strain on mental health . I no there are thousands being affected with COVID . But there are also thousands going to be affected by COVID with cancer .

Hello,

I am sorry you are experiencing problems trying to contact the Beckenham Beacon Hospital.

It is not clear what service you require, and there are a number of providers located within the hospital. Therefore, please would you contact me on 0208 315 8791 to discuss this further.

With best wishes, Sharon
