Dialed 999 early morning stating I believed I was suffering from heart failure but the ambulance took at least 40 minutes to arrive from their station about 10 minutes drive away from me in Sheffield.
Once they arrived excellent service and taken to Sheffield Northern General Hospital where I was assessed and taken to a ward to await the fitting of a pacemaker. Very well monitored a had implant fitted about 4pm. I was discharged at 2pm the next day. I can only say that all the departments and staff were superb and professional. I came away feeling so proud of our NHS.
Very disappointed with the 4 times failure to send my response to text message I received.
"Staff were superb and professional."
