"Really caring"

About: University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust

Throughout the 1st coronavirus shutdown I visited Poole Hospital many times for 3 breast cancer operations and radio-therapy. At no time did I feel unsafe, despite coronavirus cases being in part (separated) of the hospital. Although they must have been concerned for themselves the staff were always cheerful, helpful and really caring.

It was interesting seeing nearly empty outpatients departments and how well appointment times were arranged to permit this.

I would like to thank all the staff at Poole for their care and hope they will be able to ‘have a rest and take time for themselves’ when coronavirus is finally under control.

Thank you all.

Dear Anonymous

Thank you very much for posting such a lovely comment about your treatment at Poole Hospital. I will forward it on to the breast cancer and radiotherapy teams. Comments like yours go a long way to boosting morale amongst the staff, especially when they are working under the current pressures.

I hope very much that your treatment has gone well and that you will always find the same caring welcome at Poole Hospital if you need our services again.

All very best wishes,

The Patient Experience Team, Poole Hospital
