(as a service user),

Had a lot of admissions due to self-harm due to mental health, whilst most of the staff are compassionate I have been met with a lot of judgemental comments, heard staff talk about me, seemingly laughing about my readmission and being generally very dismissive towards me, I feel that some of the liaison psychiatry nurses recently have had a very poor attitude towards me and all I want is help.

Dear Gam1233

Thank you for posting details of your experience on Care Opinion. I was sorry to read that during some of your inpatient admissions to University Hospital Monklands you have had a negative experience. I'm pleased to hear that most of the staff have provided compassionate care to you, however, I have noted your comments around staff communication, and their general attitude towards you. This is not the kind of behaviour we expect from our clinical staff and I will ensure that your comments are shared with Senior Management, so that our staff can learn from your experience and improve upon their person-centred approach to patients.
