"Great full thanks"

About: East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust

I had a heart attack in October and my life was saved in the ambulance by the ambulance man. The Coronary Care Unit staff at EDGH

continued to do so with a procedure. I want to thank everyone involved, SECAM and the CCU. The staff in the CCU are hard working, dedicated, caring and always reassuring. They deserve all the praise they can get.

Hello Janet,

Thank you for taking the time to leave us such kind and thoughtful comments about the care you received from the South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) and our Coronary Care Unit (CCU) at Eastbourne DGH following your heart attack in October; we really appreciate it. First and foremost we sincerely hope you have, or are making great progress, in achieving a full recovery and are in good spirits after what must have been an exceptionally worrying and upsetting time for you, and for your loved ones. We also hope you have been able to access any follow-up care required, and have not suffered any lasting side effects from the heart attack or subsequent treatment provided.

The Trust is very proud of the high standards of care it provides to patients, and so we are delighted to read this was your experience of the CCU. The comments you have left also assure us Janet that staff cared for you with our values of kindness, compassion, dignity and respect, which you no doubt found of great comfort as you began your recovery journey.

The generous words of praise you have left will be shared with the staff on the CCU as they no doubt will be pleased to hear from you and to read how much you valued their care. Whilst SECAmb are a separate organisation, we will also share your feedback with them as they will want to read of your gratitude for the actions of their ambulance crew who initially attended to you.

We wish you all the very best for good health and well-being now, and in the future; please take care and keep safe Janet.
