In October I collapsed with very alarming (to me) symptoms. I continued to feel very ill so my husband phoned 999 and shortly afterwards an ambulance arrived and two very pleasant very efficient paramedics attended to me. They were very empathetic and so reassuring. But after a few tests they informed my husband and I that they thought I'd had a mini stroke and I was taken to Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarnock.
I cannot praise the staff there too highly particularly in the stroke ward. Everyone from cleaners, porters to nursing staff and doctors impressed me with their dedication to helping and respecting all patients.
Although I felt extremely anxious about my diagnosis I felt I was in a very safe environment because of the skilled and informative way I was handled.
Thank you all so much :)
