"Very hard to get through to"

Extremely disappointed in the time to get through , over a hour with 13 people in front of me . Extremely disappointed in receiving medications, it is dangerous not to receive them on time , blood thinning tablets , antidepressants are not ment to stop and have breaks in . All I find my self doing is chasing up prescriptions. To then find out our new doctor has then stopped them . Some patients have very unique requirements, and have gone through life saving operations and treatments . Being given a new doctor who knows nothing about the patient does not help . And from our experience have not even read the notes .

We are very sorry you are having problems getting through to the surgery but COVID has been a very busy time for us as most communication is through the telephone now. We do have our online e-consult service available through our website where any non-urgent questions can be asked, either medical or administrative.

All medication is now done electronically as well. Prescriptions are send straight to the Pharmacy so please check the pharmacy to see if any prescriptions are ready first.

We hope you are also signed up to our Patient access services (again through our website) or the NHS app.

On either of these you can order and track repeat prescriptions and have access to view your medical records.

There are several reasons that GPs stop or change medication. Medication reviews are done on all patients and we also have a clinical pharmacist who can answer a lot of medication questions. As this is anonymous we cannot contact you directly but please contact the surgery to discuss this in more detail. We do hope this information and advice helps. Kind Regards SGP
