About: Blakelands NHS Treatment Centre

Apart from delays due to COVID-19, my consultations were thorough and the procedure options were well explained. The hernia repair was carried out by my consultant under a local anaesthetic (my choice), was speedy and successful. Care during the operation was excellent, with a nurse and other theatre staff in constant attendance. After care in the recovery area and the ward, before same-day discharge, was efficient, with a cup of tea and biscuits provided.
