"Avoid if you have any issues during pregnancy "

About: University College Hospital

I unfortunately had to go into A&E as I was having heavy bleeding during pregnancy and sharp pains in my shoulder blade. The first nurse I saw who assessed me, unsympathetically and rudely said 'there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with you' despite my evident symptoms of ectopic pregnancy. I felt so isolated, the whole experience was horrible, she did not even ask if I was okay - imagine loosing your unborn child & being faced with such lack of sympathy, I almost could not believe it.

I had endless blood tests done, where they failed to 'find a vein' so prodded and pocked me in numerous places on my arms and hands. They put an uneeded canular in my arm, only to tell me 10 hours later I needed to have a scan.

All I can say to women PLEASE PLEASE avoid this place if you have any issues with pregnancy, they do not care and lack sympathy.

This all happened during COVID so my partner or family was not even there to support me, nurses should be giving women loosing children extra support or at least a shoulder to cry on, I felt utterly neglected by this place and I will NEVER return back.
