"Kind and smiling care on Blossom ward"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Blossom Ward (Paediatrics)

(as a service user),

My daughter was admitted to Blossom ward following an epileptic seizure.  From the moment we arrived on the ward my daughter and myself felt reassured as we were met with smiling faces.

My daughter was very anxious and scared and the staff went out of their way to settle her in and reassure her - even wee things  like getting the Netflix on the TV set up for her and bringing me a cup of tea- nothing was too much effort. We were kept fully updated throughout her stay from the nurses and doctors and we never felt in the dark.

I want to give a special mention to Louise and Caroline who looked after my daughter as they had such a lovely way with her and were able to communicate with her in such a lovely way. I also want to thank the domestic staff who brought us our meals and cleaned our room- always greeting us with a smile and taking the time to speak with us... even a few words... which is all that is needed.

We couldn't have received better care and can only speak so highly of all the staff. It takes very special people to do their job. Thank you.
