"Unable to contact"

About: Sherwood Medical Partnership

As a heart transplant patient, my condition is managed by consultants at the transplant hospital, but while they provide my immunosuppressants and steroids, other meds for my condition are requested by the consultants but prescribed by this GP service.

I have collected my monthly repeat prescription last week and printed on the slip, was an instruction to contact the surgery to arrange an annual review.

I have tried calling the surgery, all lines are always busy, the message just says to try later.

The surgery instructs visitors not to attend without an appointment.

I have tried contacting through the website as well, no response yet (to be fair, that has only been a couple of days).

I have recently had to start requesting my meds on the NHS app myself, as they seem to have stopped being ordered automatically.

I have to request them two weeks before they are needed and as far as I am aware, if I don't get a review, my meds will not be prescribed.

I have suggested on the website contact, that the service just let me know when my appointment is, as I will have to fit in with them anyway.

If I cannot get my meds ordered (in two weeks), I will have to contact my consultants and for the second time this year, make a 200mile round trip to get my prescription, breaking all the Covid guidance.

If the response here, is to contact someone at the surgery, please leave details on how.

We apologise for the inconvenience this has caused you. We would appreciate it if you could contact the Practice to speak with either the Complaints Lead or Practice manager so we can discuss further and in more detail.
