"Occupational health support"

About: Lanarkshire Community Services / Occupational Therapy

(as the patient),

During lockdown I hit a bout of anxiety, panic, fear and depression which took me to the very edge. I didn’t think I was going to survive and thoughts of taking my own life were a constant presence.

My GP helped with meditation and referred me to the Lanarkshire occupational health team.

My support came from a young man Connor who was a fantastic listener with a lovely manner and caring nature. Connor helped me with coping strategies, listening, talking things through while taking things a day at a time which really worked for me.

I am extremely grateful and fortunate to have had this support for several weeks and I am now feeling like my old self again.

Dear Mr Songster,

Thank you very much for taking the time to provide us with some feedback regarding your experience working alongside Connor, one of our Occupational Therapist within the Primary Care Occupational Therapy Service.

I am very pleased to read that you felt well supported during you contact with Connor, and are feeling like your self again. I will ensure this feedback is shared with him, I know he will be delighted. We are always very grateful to receive feedback.

May I take this opportunity to wish you well.

Kind regards

Amanda
