In November I took my dad to A&E at Dr Grays hospital after he suddenly took unwell. Unfortunately due to Covid 19 we were not allowed to stay with him. Although this was worrying it quickly became apparent that he was in the best possible hands. Every member of staff from receptionist to medical staff were exceptional. I was also given the opportunity to speak with the doctor from A&E over the phone and felt completely reassured by this. 

My Dad then spent two nights in the Acute Medical Admissions Unit where once again the care was exceptional. 

I really can’t thank you all enough as I am very grateful to have my dad home and looking so well.

Thank you so much for taking the time to send this wonderful feedback. It's always a worrying time when a close relative becomes suddenly unwell and this must have been amplified under the current circumstances.

It's lovely to hear about the exceptional care your dad received from the whole team in both A&E and the Acute Medical Admissions Unit. I will make sure they receive a copy of your feedback.

Many thank for sharing your experience with your Dad attending A&E and then AMAU at Dr Gray's Hospital.

COVID-19 has posed many challenges within the hospital with visiting being a very important one. and I'm very pleased to read that the staff were exceptional and communication kept you reassured.

It a great moral boost for staff when patients and relatives share thir stores. I will send your story to the 2 teams.

I hope your Dad is getting better every day.
