"Ward run with military efficiency"

About: Arrowe Park Hospital / Accident and emergency Arrowe Park Hospital / Urology

(as the patient),

Recently I had an unpleasant event with my bladder and prostate. I was passing blood and in a lot of pain.

I rang 111 and had a telephone interview with a doctor, he told me to go to my nearest A and E.

Given the Covid pandemic I had a lot of reservations about attending. But needs must and my wife drove me to the hospital. What a pleasant surprise, the waiting room was nearly empty and spotless with full separation between the few patients that were there . I began to feel a lot safer.

I was called in by a nurse  tested for covid and swabbed for MRSA within minutes I saw a doctor and was admitted into ward 17.

The hospital is separated into two sections

Red for covid  and green for Negative. My treatment was second to none.

The staff were brilliant kind and caring and the ward run with military efficiency.

Thank you
