"Fantastic care."

About: Maternity / Labour Ward

(as a service user),

I was apprehensive about going in for induction without my husband present however the nursing staff made me feel right at home. I would like to thank all the staff from the auxiliaries, midwives and doctors for their professionalism, kindness and care to me and my baby from induction ward/ labour ward/theatre/recovery & baby ward at Ulster hospital maternity unit.

A special thank you to Midwife Susan who looked after both me and my husband while on the labour ward. Her knowledge, experience shone through and I knew both me and my unborn baby were in the best of hands. Sadly her 12 hour shift had to end but she made sure there was a seamless handover to the next midwife who also was amazing in the short time we had with her (sorry I can't remember her name) but she held my hand through a lot of tears as I headed for an emergency c section and made sure I knew exactly what was ahead.

Following the birth of my son despite not being able to have my husband stay with us beyond recovery, was very positive. The staff were very attentive especially with supporting my recovery from the section and nothing was too much trouble. The hospital during my stay was also spotless which is a credit to the domestic staff and I must admit combined with the friendliness of all the staff, there were times I almost forgot I was in a hospital.

Many thanks Charlie & his mummy
