"Kindness of a Hospital assistant"

About: East Surrey Hospital

(as a service user),

I asked a ward orderly for directions to the Pharmacy. He told me it was the other side of the Hospital and noticed that I looked weary and had a small child and walking stick. He offered to push us both in a wheelchair an offer which I gladly accepted. I have MS and this kindness was so appreciated by me that I have told everyone I know.

Thank you for sharing your experience. It is always good to hear first hand how our staff reflect the values of the Trust in providing help and support in situations such as yours.

For future visits, our Reception staff are able provide any assistance required, however I would suggest arriving a little earlier to allow time for a porter to be called.

Kind regards,

Patient Experience team
