(as the patient),

I had abnormal cells found at my smear so had an appointment for a colposcopy. I was treated by a professional and caring team, I was very nervous and anxious but I was made to feel valued and was reassured. I was emotional and alone but had a cuppa and biscuits after, I know everyone does, but they made sure I was ok before I left. I was obviously one of many ladies seen throughout the day but you wouldn’t know, couldn’t have gone better. The team was Ellen, Ruth, Jess and Student Dr Jack.

Thank you very much for taking time to comment on your recent colposcopy experience. As a team we are very aware of how nervous and anxious individuals can be following an abnormal cervical screening result, especially with current Covid restrictions having to attend alone. I am so pleased you felt valued and reassured by caring professionals. We aim to provide compassionate, patient centred, respectful care for all our patients. I hope you are recovering well.
