About: Churchill Hospital

Cannot fault my wonderful surgeon and breast nurse! However there were 2 incidents worth mentioning. The first was about a year before my diagnosis when I was referred with what turned out to be a benign cyst. During an examination I was looked at in disgust and told to cover up?! Then less than a minute later asked to see the lump??!! I think this breast nurse is in the wrong profession! On the day of my diagnosis 6/8 the breast clinic was in another part of the hospital (renal unit) I had a letter telling me NOT to attend alone despite covid restrictions. However not only would the receptionist not let my fiance in, he would not ever let me step outside to inform him! He very rudely demanded I go sit down. I ignored him and went outside anyway. My breast nurse promptly appeared asking where my partner was! This man on reception made an already unpleasant experience 10 times worse! Appalling way to treat someone! I even showed him the letter telling me to bring someone
