About: University Hospital Wishaw / Maternity Care (Wards 21-24)

(as the patient),

I gave birth at Wishaw Maternity last Sunday evening and the midwife Karen who delivered my baby was fantastic. I couldn’t have done it without her. She was so calm the whole time and went over and above for me, she even missed her tea break as another member of staff came to cover her break but I asked her to stay with me until the baby was here. She was so supportive and if I were to have another baby I would love for her to deliver the baby. She took such good care of me and did an excellent job of stitching me. Thank you Karen.

Firstly, congratulations on the birth of your baby. I hope you are managing well at home and not having too many sleepless nights!

Many thanks for taking the time to share such lovely feedback on Care Opinion, at what must be a very busy time for you. It is lovely to read that during your labour your midwife, Karen, was very supportive and was able to keep you calm.
