"Outstanding surgical and Nursing teams."

I had a triple heart bypass on 3rd August and recovered on Clearbrook Ward. I can only say that the surgeon and his excellent team saved my life with their skills. Their post op' visits were friendly, even with obviously large rounds of us patients. My questions were answered by each pair of the team all whilst working under the unique stresses of covid 19. I am very grateful to them all. All the Nurses and HCA's were brilliant despite being very busy and with a high patient to staff ratio, and covids effect on working procedure and risks for them all. They always came to my assistance as quickly as possible cheered me up and explained what i was experiencing whilst encouraging my 'walkabout' rehab. Also the catering and cleaning staff, porters to X-ray all deserve recognition, always very busy and doing an excellent job. My thanks to everyone at Derriford i'm on the mend because of all of you. Please stay safe this winter, you are the best.
