"Rude and unprofessional reception"

The doctor is ok, but the situation with their reception is just hopeless. The lack of empathy, competence and professionalism is out of this world.

I must have called them more than 45-50 times since last April and visited them at least 4-5 times just to sort out my repeat prescription, but No Hope.

Last April for no reason at all, they managed to send my prescription at a pharmacy I never use (not the one I have been using for 4 years now) without telling me. It took multiple phone calls, and days to understand where my pills were. Then 2 months later, there was no prescription at any pharmacy. Their excuse was that I needed to keep ordering every single time myself, despite the fact that this has been a repeat prescription for many years now, and they changed it without telling me.Then they started blaming the pharmacy.

Again, 2 months later same problem, I called them multiple times to order my prescription, they said they would do it, nothing happened. I missed days without taking my pills. I went there in person in order to manage to get the prescription form them and then hand-carried it to the pharmacy in the middle of the pandemic as the reception couldn't do it online. Again, 2 months later same problem all over again. They said they ordered the pills but somehow the pharmacy knew nothing about it. Again, they blamed the pharmacy. I went to the pharmacy and they were kind to show me in their computer (NHS system) that actually the receptionists at my GP never placed the order to the pharmacy, neither had they indicated it was a repeat prescription. All they had done was upload it to the NHS system. When I called the reception at my GP, again they said this is how it works and they hang up on me in the middle of my sentence.

I must have spent since last April on the phone 5-6 hours in total in waiting time, only for them to hang up on me or promise something and not do it. They have no interest in the stress they are causing to the patients, they have no interest in the fact that they leave you with no pills for days, they have false confidence when they talk to you, as if they know what they are doing. Avoid this GP practice if you want your sanity.
