After having my first smear I was told I needed to attend an appointment for a Colposcopy. My appointment came through really fast and it was within 3 weeks of receiving my results, I was really happy to not have to wait to long to be seen. 

On the day of my appointment I was feeling very nervous, more about what was going to take place as it is in an intimate area. Immediately the ladies in the room made me feel at ease and made me feel like what was about to happen was very normal (which it is to them). They asked me if I was okay and had any questions before we began, while the procedure was taking place the conversation carried on, again taking my mind off what was happening. I really can't thank the lovely ladies I saw enough for making me feel so comfortable and carrying out a great service.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave your feedback following your recent visit to the Colposcopy clinic at Hemswell Gynaecology Outpatients at Lincoln County Hospital.

I will ensure your positive feedback is passed onto our Nurse Colposcopist Ellen, and the wider colposcopy and nursing team.

Feedback is always welcomed by the team as we are all passionate about providing an excellent patient centred experience for those referred to our clinics, and feedback helps us to know both when we are getting things right, but also where we can improve.

It is therefore really rewarding when the comments received are positive, and show that we are showing our patients the care and compassion we care so much about and reflecting the Trust values and behaviours that we are committed to.

Thank you again for your kind comments, we all really appreciate this, and we all wish you well for the future and well done for attending your cervical screening ( smear) appointment and being such a positive influence on others showing how we can pick up any early changes to prevent future problems.
