"Amazing service"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus

I had to pop to A&E with a simple dislocated little finger, regardless of how busy the staff were, how visibly burnt out and exhausted they are, the care I recieved was first rate.

The security guard was friendly.

Reception smiled and were positive, I was spoken to immediately and seen swiftly.

The consultant was clearly stretched but doing am amazing job, calmly moving patients from one are to another, looking for light switches, dealing with multiple cases. He was clear, concise and calm.

I could tell he was exhausted and worn down, but remained upbeat and treated me swiftly and professionally.

The nurse who looked after me while I was coming off the gas was lovely, friendly, chatty and positive. She clearly loved her job also and really made me relax.

Overall the experience was pleasant and positive.

I thank those that I came into contact with and would like to pass on my gratitude.

Many thanks.

Thank you Matt for this kind and thoughtful feedback. At a very challenging time for services across the NHS, it is great to know that you had an experience of great care from all of the hard-working team members you encountered. I’ve shared your message with the Emergency Department team, we appreciate it and hope your injury is healing well.

Best wishes

Clare Mayfield
