"Endoscopy Unit Raigmore"

My elderly Dad who is currently being treated for severe anxiety and depression, attended the unit for a procedure last week. Understandably, Dad was very nervous and unsure in going ahead with the procedure so 

I called into the unit prior to the appointment to explain. I was met by Cora, the unit receptionist who, after I explained how anxious Dad was, arranged for one of the Nurse Specialists Fiona to call and speak to us. Fiona was very patient and chatted things through with Dad, explaining what would happen fully and clearly. 

Once at the appointment, I was allowed to stay with Dad while Endoscopy Nurse Richard did routine observations and who further reassured Dad until he went through to the unit for the procedure. While waiting with Dad, Cora frequently checked in on us ensuring Dad was doing ok. 

Dad had the procedure but this was only because of the care and understanding of the staff who supported him through it so I just want to say thank you very much again to Fiona, Richard and especially Cora.
