"Experience at CFS Clinic"

I saw a doctor at CFS clinic after waiting for 8 months for my appointment. I had some hope that the doctor will listen to me and I will get some kind of help or support for my chronic fatigue illness that I have for the last 9 years. But I was very disappointed and sad after the appointment and all my symptoms of muscle pain and tiredness got worse because of the kind of interaction with the doctor. The doctor made me feel that I am making up things and I have other medical problems and I am thinking it’s CFS.

Made me feel that I am a selfish lady who doesn’t care about my husband and son as I lie down all the time for no reason and my family deserves more than that. He made me think that all my medical problems are because of my own actions as I don’t do workouts and other physical activities and not other way round that I cannot do any physical activities because of my sore muscles and my tiredness and hence all the medical problems. After coming back from the hospital I am in pain and so bad flare up that not being able to walk properly. Wish I had not got the appointment and had never seen that doctor. Came back with disappointment and regret.
