I recently had a blood test carried out by one of the nurses based in the Douglas street Clinic at my surgery in Burnbank. I have a history of unsuccessful blood tests that have often resulted in feeling extremely faint and panic attacks. However, this particular nurse (Ester) put me at ease immediately and was able to find a vein first time and take my blood without any issues, and she chatted to me the entire time to help ease my anxiety. She genuinely made me feel safe and calm, and I am so thankful that she was the nurse I had my appointment with.
