"Visit at the cardiac department"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Cardiology / Coronary Care Unit

(as a relative),

My mum had an appointment at the cardiology department for a holter monitor.

She was very nervous coming in because of the covid pandemic and she did not know what to expect as she never had one before.

The lady at the reception was very polite to both of us when she checked us in, and so was the young Greek man that fitted her with the holter monitor. He explained things on how to use the monitor very carefully and was very patient with my mums hearing difficulties.
Even though my mum had to wait for a long time to get the monitor she was very thankful to finally get it and was happy with her experience when we left the clinic.
As a retired nurse myself I'm very happy to see that despite the long waiting lists and the ongoing pandemic, that the staff are still being helpful and kind. Thank you.

Dear Html74959

Thank you so much for your kind feedback, I will ensure that the team in the Cardiology Department receive this. It really does make a difference to our teams to know that they are providing support and kindness to our patients.

I do hope your mother has managed with her monitor.

Thank you again for your kind words.

Catriona
