"Thank you for looking after mam"

About: Manor Hospital

Troubke with getting updates and knowing what was going on with my mam when she was on the holding ward. Phone was never answered and when did nurses saying to busy to come to phone.

When she went to covid ward 2 things different and they rang me up every day to give information and doctor also spoke with me. Mam said the nurses were kind and made her comfortable she thankfully recovered. Thanks to the staff who got her a book and some sweets from own money because visiting weren’t allowed so glad this was done so couldn’t come.

Thank you for your feedback which is very much appreciated. We have been experiencing a number of call issues linked to a changeover to a new telephony system and call demand, heightened with visitor restrictions. We are doing our best to support connection with relatives as we completely recognise the anxieties this causes. A number of options are deployed including staff/volunteer video calls and family liaison support.

I am pleased to hear Ward 2 were proactive in their communication and will ensure your thanks are recorded.

Regards Garry Perry

Head of Patient Relations
