Last week following using the emergency care at Grantham (which was great, easy to use and open through the night) I was transferred to Lincoln hospital A&E then transfers onto Greetham Ward.
I will say I was quite dreading it, the last few times in Lincoln north being good experiences. However, this all changed. Every member of staff went above and beyond. As for the nurses, nursing assistance, young doctors, staff cleaning the wards and doing drinks and meals, plus anyone else I've missed, I would just like to say how well you are doing.
You are now working on a new ward, well I will say in name only as it seemed to have had the equipment left from other wards and a lot of things kept going wrong. That didn't matter as you all just got on with it, no whinging just laughing and looking after your patients. It was actually a brilliant ward to be on, as a patient you could feel the pride and passion going around, it felt like somewhere people were proud to work and that was from the natron down.
Just sitting back and listening to patient grumbles and requests,, I did not see or here a member of staff moan but just say yes ok what can we do to help. I would give this ward 5 out of 5 even with the bits they still need to sort on that ward including the shower rooms being used as store cupboards etc. I don't want to mention names of staff as with the masks I would end up making someone and missing another out and they don't deserve that, in my eyes you are all true hero's..
