I have fortunately not been in hospital since I was having my tonsils out at 7 years old. Having been referred by my optician it was a completely new experience for me, and not unpleasant. I completely disagree with a previous reviewer that it was a dehumanising experience in the Windsor Clinic.
With the exception of a one hour wait, waiting times were short and efficient.
My experience ended up with last minute organisation for eye surgery - Cataracts, PVD and ERM I believe it was called. A surreal but not unpleasant experience.
I found the staff to very professional, friendly and supportive. The support staff were friendly, caring and cheerful which goes somewhat in helping you to prepare. As it was last minute, I wish to thank the two nurses who were about to go off shift who performed my ECG and Blood work-up at the very last minute.
The operating theatre needs a new radio.
I felt very Covid safe in the areas I entered in the Windsor and Balmoral suites. I hope this isn't nit-picking but in five visits the toilet on ground floor foyer of the Windsor building still hadn't any hand sanitizer.
The follow-up sessions have been equally as good.
Many thanks to all the staff.
A very grateful patient.
