About: South Tyrone Hospital / Day Clinical Centre

(as a service user),

I am very happy to travel to South Tyrone to get my venesection treatment. The staff are excellent, friendly and I feel a lot safer than if I had to go to Craigavon even though Craigavon is closer to my home. I hope the clinic remains in Dungannon.

Thankyou for taking the time to share your story with us, I am pleased to hear you describe the staff in our Day Clinical Centre as 'excellent', and 'friendly' and I will ensure they are all made aware of this feedback.

I it also reassuring to hear that you are happy to travel a bit further to receive your treatments, in an area where you feel 'a lot safer', even though Craigavon Hospital is closer to your home. This is understandable in the current situation we are in, and was the reason management transferred the service to an offsite area in March 2020. These decisions were obviously not easy to make at the time, however feedback like yours confirms that it was the right decision for people such as yourself, who have to attend for vital treatment throughout this pandemic.

Once again, thank you for sharing your feedback, it is very encouraging for us all to hear.
