"Phone calls"

About: Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust St James's University Hospital

(as a service user),

This week I received phone calls from 0113 206 9999 and 0113 392 9999 to my mobile phone.

As I am unable to hear on the phone, I tried to ring back using a relay service for deaf people but both numbers are unable to receive incoming calls.  As I had no way of getting in touch and did not even know the name of the caller, I googled the number and it came up with St. James Hospital/Leeds Hospital.

This didn't say which department or even which hospital which is a concern because you are then left wondering why the hospital is trying to ring you but since they don't accept incoming calls you are left feeling very frustrated!

I phoned a different department who were able to check the system and they told me that there is no record of someone calling me from 0113 392 9999!?!

There needs to be a better system for deaf people.  Many deaf people live on their own or do not want to ask a family member to phone for them.
