"Not so great experience "

About: Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust

Brought to Pinderfields 10/10/2020 with covid symptoms and after sitting 7 hours on the covid ward asked when I’ll see a doctor. I asked him after mins if I will be given a test the answer was no and prescribed me some penicillin and sent home . After one week 17/10/2020 I was rushed back to Pinderfields with ill health and I now know I had been diagnosed with a positive result from the home kit which I undertook on the 13/10/20 which I received on Monday 19/10/2020 00:48. Hospital swob test showed a negative result and was shocked when I showed the e-Mail from my test . Suddenly a red card was placed on my door signaling covid patient.

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments regarding your recent experience.

I am very sorry that you have reported a poor experience when you attended our hospital. I can only imagine how frustrating and worrying this must have been for you.

Unfortunately, although you say you were on the "covid ward" you do not say which ward this was so I am unable to share your feedback with the staff. It is important that we learn, as an organisation, from the experiences of our patients.

If you would like us to look into this further for you, please contact our PALS team on 01924 542972 or via email myh-tr.palsmidyorks@nhs.net.

Thank you again and I hope you are recovering well.

Kind regards

Clare Blackburn

(Patient Liaison Improvement Lead)
