I was admitted from MAU to the Cardiology Ward 23 Bay 6 on 7th October for an emergency pacemaker to be fitted . Never been in hospital before and I was absolutely petrified. From the moment I went to MAU until I was discharged the next day from ward 23 I received first class service from everyone I met. There were 3 nurses who looked after me and they were so lovely and kind. I was put at my ease and everyone had a good sense of humour. The food was excellent and the cleaning was excellent as well. When I was waiting in MAU I observed so much kindness that the nurses gave to the other patients who were also in MAU at the same time even though the nurses must have been tired and under a lot of stress especially at this time. I was petrified of having the pacemaker fitted .The fear of the operation was far worse than the procedure. I want to thank everyone who looked after me and for the skill of the people in the theatre who fitted the pacemaker. What I thought was so funny was the few remarks I had from a few nurses that I had lovely veins because they are clear to see.
"Excellent"
